BACKGROUND 

Background work seems discrediting but the benefits that background actors/actresses get can be very beneficial in providing crucial on-set experience, teaching production flow, fostering professional connections (networking), offering steady (if modest) income, and building confidence, all while allowing you to learn the business up-close, even sometimes leading to minor speaking roles or upgrades, on set. I valued all my background experiences. Sure they were long days but meeting real stars up close and personal was amazing and meeting fellow actors that become friends forever. Having lunch and sharing an interaction here and there was always special. It is worth it anytime you have the chance. Be prepared for long days and wait times. The memories carry with you forever.
